  • Understanding the logical relationship between concepts and being able to think clearly and rationally are both characteristics of critical thinking.
  • As an university student, we need to be able to think critically about the resources and information we use in our work.

Critical Thinking is important for several reasons,

  1. Better decision-makingWe can assess what we see, hear, feel, smell, and read critically thanks to our senses. When we critically think, our mental faculties are stimulated and function at their peak. A critical thinker wants to know why something doesn't make sense or seems off. This type of analytical thinking paired with strategic thinking leads to better decision-making and can increase productivity and decisiveness in individuals.
  2. Improved problem-solving skillsThere is no denying that those who think critically make the greatest choices. We use critical thinking to help us deal with daily problems, and we frequently use this strategy unconsciously. It trains us to be independent thinkers and to believe in our gut feelings. You will benefit from this in both your profession and general life.
  3. Stronger Analytical skills: Analysis of arguments is a difficult talent to master. However, critical thinking fosters open-mindedness. You can analyze the argument more effectively than the others since you can look at things from multiple angles.
  4. Better Communication: Critical thinking improves an individual's ability to communicate their thoughts and ideas more effectively.
  5. Enhance Research skillsBy watching, analyzing, synthesizing, and doing in-depth experiments with each component for successful outcomes, critical thinking will help you enhance your research skills.
