A classification system for the many goals and competencies that teachers set for their students is called Bloom's Taxonomy. 



  1. Remembering
  2. Understanding
  3. Applying
  4. Analyzing
  5. Evaluating
  6. Creating
Education professionals can use Bloom's Taxonomy to map learning within a single lesson or even an entire course. Trainers can determine specific instructional goals corresponding to each taxonomy level and develop plans to attain them by using the taxonomy as a guide. When teachers give students specific, attainable goals, students become more engaged and accountable for their education. The taxonomy can also be helpful for accurately assessing trainees.
