Many of the 17 goals included in the United Nations General Assembly's Agenda for Sustainable Development can be positively impacted by effective and efficient methods of planting trees. For example, planting trees can significantly increase local economic activity and food production.
Enhancing the natural environment helps produce food (nuts, seeds, etc.), stabilizes the soil to provide grazing for animals, contributes to water conservation and water table maintenance, creates employment possibilities, supports climate action, and aids in ecosystem restoration. It is a requirement for managing forests sustainably, preventing desertification, stopping and reversing land degradation, and preserving biodiversity.
Let's examine the planting of trees and how it relates to the Sustainable Development Agenda from a different angle. Utilizing what is now referred to as a "Rewilding Stick" provides the foundation for the viewpoint. The Rewilding Stick is gaining recognition as a cutting-edge and extremely effective planting tool that may be used in uneven or unprepared soils for trees (and in fact, a range of plant species). It has widespread appeal because to its low cost (they can typically be manufactured by people using local materials) and positive effects on planting efficiency and effectiveness.
